My family too Lived on Jesse Street. From 1968 until my parents sold and moved to Fairhaven Village in the 1990's. We lived at 33 Jesse Street, right next door to the Lyonnais and Beaumont Families. I have very vivid memories of the Bissonette's, Tenczar's, Fauteux's, Isherwood's, Cabral's, etc. ... All great families with great family values. Will always remember the annual Feast on Labor Day Weekend. Thank you, Joan. This article has brought back a lot of fond childhood memories.

I love this piece! I grew up two streets over from Joan and my great-aunt and great-uncle, Helen and Tony Tenczar, lived on Jesse St. Today, I live at the corner of Jesse and Main with the feast grounds of Our Lady of Angels behind me and St. Mary's Church across the street. Many many times I watched "Hawk" and the other men carry the statue in the procession on Labor Day.

I have a "Walking to School in the '60s" article coming up in a few weeks.
